Looking for a Venue with a difference?
Since its foundation in 1505, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh has continuously promoted, through education, training and examination, the raising of standards in surgical practice.
Whether it is a small meeting for three or four people, a conference, or a dinner for 175, we can assist in all preparations and at the event itself. We have a range of fully trained staff, used to all aspects of conference and banqueting.
The College is also an ideal location for holding formal interviews.

The Corn Exchange can cater for all numbers of delegates from 50 up to 1500 for a theatre style conference and can provide for up to 1000 people for a sit-down banquet. Easy, fast access to each table is made possible by the large number of entry points to the main hall, combined with four bars and eager staff ensures you will not be kept waiting for your meal or drinks. The Edinburgh Corn Exchange is situated approximately 3.6 kilometres (2 miles) to the south west of Edinburgh city centre, within the moat area of the capital.

You can combine your conference with a tour of the attraction, experience tropical rainstorms and marvel at a real iceberg. Pre dinner drinks for up to 600 guests could take place within the Earthscapes galleries of the attraction including the Rainforest, Polar region, Oceans gallery and the prehistoric Casualties and Survivors. Each of the Earthscapes can contain up 100 people at a time.

Dominating one of the most famous skylines in Europe, Edinburgh Castle is a magnificent place, rich in history and home to some of Scotland’s most important national treasures, including the Scottish Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny.
Here at the heart of the city are a range of venues which can host small gatherings in the Gatehouse Suite or dinners for up to 100 in the Jacobite Room. Special evening receptions can be arranged for up to 1000 guests, which throws the castle open in its entirety.

Set in 100 acres of magnificent parkland on the shores of the Forth, Hopetoun House is available on an exclusive basis throughout the year, making an incomparable letting for all types of private and corporate entertainment. The splendid State Apartments are perfect for receptions and smaller dinner parties, whilst the Adam Stables and Ballroom, complete with crystal chandeliers, cater for up to 420 guests. Marquees can be situated on the lawns in front of the House, and the Grounds are available for the more active events. Hopetoun is also available for product launches, fairs, outdoor concerts and filming.

The National Gallery of Scotland is one of the most prestigious venues in Edinburgh for cocktail receptions and exclusive private views. Receptions for up to 600 guests can be accommodated in the elegant ground floor galleries, where guests may view the outstanding art collection whilst enjoying fine wine or champagne and canapés
Companies may also offer their guests the opportunity to have a private view of any exhibition in the company of one of our - expert curators. More intimate receptions are normally held in the Impressionist Rooms.

The present home of the Royal College of Physicians was built at 9 Queen Street to a design by Thomas Hamilton, and completed in 1848.
The Great Hall was extended by David Bryce to almost twice its original size and the New Library was added. Before this work was completed, however, the College had acquired adjacent premises at 8 Queen Street, which had been built and decorated to a design by Robert Adam.
