Edinburgh's New Year and Hogmanay Street parties have been beamed around the world for over 10 years, with fireworks lighting up the skies above a wintry Edinburgh Castle and joyous celebrations down Princes Street. This year there will be an attempt to create the worlds biggest joining of hands and the singing of Auld Lang Syne. Along with Capital Christmas, this is the culmination of a year long series of festivals and events, and where Edinburgh regularly attracts major Art exhibitions - some being world exclusives.
